Battalion Wars 2 The video game Battalion Wars 2 is made in a format compatible to wii by Nintendo. It is considered to be an action game with two options open to the players. They can either be a shooter in the third person or part of the strategy making process.

The battles fought in Battalion Wars 2 are held in different locations. They occur in air, sea and land game play situations. You can opt for single-player mode of game play, or one of the three types of online multi-player action which are namely cooperative, assault or skirmish. Critics say the storyline is quite good and imaginative, and the varying modes of play also add to enjoyment of the game. Being able to set up naval units for combat, and the predominant use of intuitive controls also make this game a top gun among combat type video games.

Review Summary

The storyline in Battalion Wars 2 is not so impressive but it is an advancement over the original game. Kuju's new FMVs look sharper and more detailed. Overall Batallion Wars 2 is more polished and refined with the addition of new unit types and naval units. Battalion Wars 2 has nothing new and thus, it feels ordinary and generic most of the time. You select an enemy, run up to it and shoot it. Battalion Wars 2 feels empty and does not satisfy you. While Battalion Wars 2 features online multiplayer, it doesn't support any local multiplayer options. Online multiplayer is fun, but not interesting. The big problem is there's no way, whatsoever, to communicate with your opponent. The game constantly tells you to use teamwork and work together, but it's difficult with no way of communicating with your team mate. Battalion Wars 2 looks better, graphically but the textures sometimes lack so much in detail that they loose their captivation.. The inconsistency of good-looking and less-good-looking areas creates an uneven experience in regards to visuals. Even with these complaints, you will like Battalion Wars 2; if you liked its predecessor. The story is good but it does not captivate your attention. In the end, the formula is shallow and the experience marred by too many small problems. The effects and different themes definitely immerse you in the experience and the voice acting adds both a humorous and quality touch to the game.
