Summary: I bought this game for my daughter at Christmas and other than playing it on Christmas day we have not played it since. It was very frustrating for my 7 year old to maneuver through and I end up doing most of it for her. It would have been much easier to move the Barbie character if we could have used the nunchuk. Considering that all Wii's come with one nunchuk it seems silly to me not to make the game compatible with it.
Summary: This game is terrible. The graphics are no better than games from 1991, it's a side-scroller, and it's impossible to play. My daughter was unable to even get past the first level, even when her father (a very good video game player) tried to get her past a hard spot or two, one of which even he gave up on. Very disappointed, as my daughter LOVED the Three Musketeers movie and had been begging for the game.
Summary: Honestly when I first started watching the game being played - my sister has it - it looked like something that I would play on the SNES way back when - or my Gameboy. Game play is uninteresting, tedious, and repetitive. They definitely skimped on cost and are relying on the movie's success.
Summary: Someone bought this game as gift for my six-year-old. The game is very puzzling and there isnt much guidance. Everything is a maze. It is exciting once you figure out what to do and the kids don't die often. My daugher is great at super mario brothers which is very hard but at least when there is a problem a training guide come up. Simple things like pressing B to change girls is not in the booklet. We spend months going through the menu to change girls.
Intentionally Deceptive False Advertising, Lame Graphics, Bad Controls, Inventory, Pathetic Poor Product - Shame on you Mattel
M. Paulsen "Tech guy", Amazon
26 December 2009
Summary: Do not buy this product if you intend it to be a Wii style 3D game. It is a 2D side scroll game, poorly written. As you can see by previous posts, the game is marketed deceptively. Mattel should be recalling these and repackaging. Their marketing department falsely advertised the product deceptively. The graphics are lame. The game play is ... lame. Inventory.. Lame. Character controls. Lame. If I could, I'd post other words.
Summary: My daughter loves the Barbie 3 Musketeers movie, so when I saw this, I thought it was a big score. I was wrong. I don't know why they even bothered making this a wii game, it is totally 2-D and doesn't use the motion detector aspect of the wii. The graphics are lame and the games boring. Your daughter will have to collect gold coins (Mario style) which she cane spend at the shop. However, they make the items overpriced and the girls can't "try on" the clothes.
Summary: This is NOT a Wii game, this is a gameboy-level 2D platform jumper with decade old graphics! You won't find a picture of the actual game play on the box or even in the manual. The pictures they do show you are right out of the movie which you get to see short cut scenes of occasionally between levels. Here on Amazon I see they have a 3+ minute video (again without any screen shots) and a short 30 second video with a little of the actual game play.
