Summary: I had Rock Band instruments so I did not know if this would work with them. Half of the reviews said they would not. I took a chance and they worked. My instruments are newer though. From Rock Band 2. I can't control song selection from the drum but that is okay as I can just use the Wii remote. Songs in the game are okay. Nothing special but fun for the kids. Vocal accuracy is more difficult than Rock Band games and timing is hard to set correctly.
Fun and somewhat challenging -- but, drum controller is cheaply made!

Summary: I purchased this product for my three children (twin girls 8 years old)and a 5 year old boy. Overall I am happy with the entire kit -- except that the drums have a controller box that can and is often easily struck by a stray drumstick. This results in having many users, as I've read and confirmed on the internet, in making their drums useless.
Summary: I ordered this product for my daughter's b-day and once we got it set up, they had great fun. My only real complaint is that there was some warpping of the product where the controller fits into the band pieces.
Summary: Early review... will provide more in-depth review later. Band Hero is essentially Guitar Hero 5 for the Top 40 crowd. If you have played Guitar Hero 5 you will find the same engine here, but the difference is that Band Hero is aimed at people that either like more music variety than just rock and metal, or feel intimidated by the usual GH "rockstar" vibe.
Like the super easy mode, only ok music, mic is junk.

Summary: We purchased this game system to add to our Guitar Hero instrument/music. As a mother of three under 10y - it was important to me to have more age appropriate song selections. We were a bit disappointed anyway on that regard as most of the songs are not as current or mainstream (popular) as we would have liked. Kids of course need that "Super Easy" mode when just starting out and definately like that feature.
