Sandlot Sluggers was bought for Grandson

Chuck Tomlin, Amazon
10 January 2014
  • Summary: He seems to enjoy it. One concern was that it may be too difficult for his age (6). It is not too difficult for him.

Ordered Sandlot Sluggers received Backyard Sports' Football game

Ray Holdren III, Amazon
10 January 2014
  • Summary: Placed this order for a Christmas present. When package arrived, it was the football equivalent to the baseball game. I had little hope in returning it and getting the correct game before Christmas, so I let it ride and wrapped the football game which my son really enjoys. Still, would have preferred to receive the game that I ordered.

Disappointed

Drew, Amazon
30 October 2013
  • Summary: Expected a fun, easy to play game like Backyard Baseball but was really disappointed with the clunky gameplay that lacked the magic of Backyard Baseball.

WONDERFUL game the entire family enjoys

AmazonAddictedMommy, Amazon
15 November 2012
  • Summary: We bought this game for my son but it ended being a family favorite. The graphics are great - there's even a couple of old gentleman sitting on a bench muttering throughout the games. It's challenging enough that my husband and 8 yr old son enjoy playing but easy enough to learn that my 5 yr old daughter can play w/ help. And I'm not a sports game kinda chick, but even I like playing it. (that's high praise, people!

A rating of "terrible" from someone who doesn't say it that often.

Eriksoln "I used to unwind from work in the c..., Amazon
31 July 2011
  • Summary: I was excited about this game. I'm a huge baseball fan and liked the idea of a game that took the "sandlot pick me up game" and expanded on it. After playing the game and trying to learn it, I have to say: The best part of the game is the cover artwork, after that everything is just plain, simple BAD. Most annoying is the controls. They actually are a bit complicated, I would not hand this to anyone under 15 years old.

  • Summary: This is a good game to play with friends. You can custom design the players which is a great feature. These controls are easy to use after you play the game a few times.

AWESOME GAME

MrsNickDWFL , GameStop
13 September 2010
  • Summary: This game is great. We just bought a WII and we love this game. Its very interactive. 4 people can play, 2 on each team, 1 person pitches and the other controls the field. When batting only the person batting can control the base runners. This game is so fun..

A "Hit" with my 11 and 6 year old kids

Jennifer Donovan "5minutesforbooks", Amazon
19 June 2010
  • Summary: When I gave this to my kids (an 11 year old girl and a 6 year old boy), they figured it out right away. Both of them said that the controls (for the players and game actions) were easy to figure out and remember, which is not always the case for Wii games. They were laughing out loud while they were playing, so I'm thinking that the "fun" level is pretty high. They loved that you could steal bases (and apparently that's what was so humorous).
