Summary: Parents need to know that for kids from six to nine years-old, this is a terrific introduction to sports videogames. Simple and intuitive controls in a world where a diverse cast of kids play alongside child versions of pros, is sure to please everyone. What's more, there are plenty of features added to make Backyard Baseball 2010 engaging for parents, too.
Summary: Before you throw up your hands and scream, "It’s a kids game!" let me finish this review with a philosophical statement. As a parent, I feel strongly that entertainment does not need not be watered-down or be of a lesser quality when targeted at children (see: Viva Pinata, most Lego products or any Pixar film for good examples of quality entertainment for a younger audience).
So I would encourage you to think twice about this game, both as a gamer and as a parent.
Pros: May appeal to boys and girls, Fun fields, Creative use of MLB players
Cons: The series seems to have regressed, Sloppy execution in many areas, Graphics are weak
