Excerpt: Me and cheerleading go to together like oil and water, they just don't mix, So needless to say when I was given the opportunity to review All Star Cheer Squad from THQ I was quite hesitant to take it through its' paces. But as I soon learned, a book should not be judged by its book cover and in this case a game by its game cover. Summary: Parents need to know that this a game about participating and competing in the sport of Cheer. This game combines traditional cheerleading moves with dance, gymnastics, and squad-based teamwork in a rhythm-based game. The game works best with wireless versions of the Wii remote and nunchuk as this will allow full extension and movement. Players also have the option of using the Wii balance board. Players will hear mildly suggestive lyrics in some songs.
Excerpt: Tony G was involved in the design of the cheers in All Star Cheer Squad on the Wii. Everyone familiar with the "Bring it On" movies will recognize that name. The Wii Balance board is optional, however the Wii Remote and Nunchuck are required.

Pros: Easy to pick up and play., Kids will dig the, Bring It On, atmosphere., Varied locations to pratice in., Energetic music cues for aspiring cheerleaders.
Cons: Wii sensitivity is incredibly flawed., Difficult to see which moves are which., Graphics and music are, for the most part, never as good as what the Wii has to offer.
Excerpt: For all of those aspiring cheerleaders out there, you now have your very own game, All Star Cheer Squad . Graphically it looks exactly what you are picturing. Well, maybe not some of you, but anyway. You start off by creating your cheerleader. While there are a lot of options, personally I thought they all looked pretty much alike facially in the end, but that's not that big of a deal. You can choose from male or female characters.
