No support and problems with busted USB keys.

latsyrhc, Ebay
25 October 2012
  • Summary: I have purchased 2 of these items now. Both times I have no communication between the sensors and the USB key. I even tested them all out on a friends Wii to make sure mine was not faulty. The problem is the game WILL NOT WORK without the USB key. ALSO the online communities and help were all cancelled by EA Sports within the first year of the product coming out! Not good. I had such high hopes for this product after my experiences with the previous versions.

Amazon Customer, Amazon
7 September 2011
  • Summary: I too, like many others that have purchased this game has been fan of the series. I was little hesitant at first purchasing this one since the price was pretty high when it first came out. I waited a while until the price dropped and then purchased it. It was perfectly fine for the first 5 days then the arm band peripheral stopped working. (NOTE: YOU CANNOT PLAY THE GAME AT ALL WITHOUT BOTH THE ARMBAND AND LEGBAND PERIPHERAL BOTH WORKING!!!!

USB Reciever does not work

Mike, Amazon
3 September 2011
  • Summary: I can not get the heart rate monitor or the leg monitor to connect. I have unplugged all other wireless devices including my wifi router and they still will not connect so I don't believe it's an interference issue. U have tried new batteries, and I restarted the Wii TWICE with the usb receiver already plugged in. The worst part is that without the monitors I can not use the program AT ALL. Working out usually makes me feel good. EA Active 2 makes me p!$$ed off.

An extremely defective product

P. Johnson, Amazon
18 March 2011
  • Summary: I purchased this game over 2 months ago and immediately started the 9 week program. For the first 6 weeks things were going great. I liked the exercises, I started losing weight, and the problems that other people have stated (Wii remote turning off mid-exercise) were able to be overcome. Now I'm in the last couple weeks of the workout, and the arm peripheral has stopped working. All I get is flashing lights when I try to work out.

Don't waste your money!

Shelly, Amazon
3 January 2011
  • Summary: I bought the "EA Active 2" game for my husband for Christmas. It is horrible! I am SO incredibly disappointed in it. First thing, it doesn't read when you're doing the armband exercises. It keeps telling you to "lower your arms". I've tried lowering, raising, shifting, moving the handset every which direction (and holding) and it just will NOT read it! It's so frustrating, I have to just skip over that exercise.

Not worth the money - yet.

osugrad85 "osugrad85", Amazon

  • Summary: I own both the original EA Sports Active and EA Sports Active More Workouts and have been very happy with both (Wii versions). The original was a good start and More Workouts was a home run. So, I had high expectations when I purchased EA Sports Active 2 (Wii version). What a disappointment. First, as all Wii owners know, the Wii remote turns off when not in use after a few minutes (designed feature to save batteries).

Doesn't work

  • Summary: I am lead to believe this is not the sellers fault, but the EA company itself. Product wouldnt connect to the wii, and wouldn't work. Loads of people with same problem.

Frustrating

T. E. Hartshorn, amazon.co.uk
26 March 2013
  • Summary: I wanted to love this exercise programme. On the face of it, it looks fantastic with a motion detector (or whatever it's called) that straps onto your leg, and heart monitor for your arm and I was really excited about using it for the first time. But on nearly every exercise, the motion detector for the leg loses connection with the console and I had to spend half my time recalibrating it, only for it to lose connection again the next time I tried.
