Summary: I have purchased 2 of these items now. Both times I have no communication between the sensors and the USB key. I even tested them all out on a friends Wii to make sure mine was not faulty. The problem is the game WILL NOT WORK without the USB key. ALSO the online communities and help were all cancelled by EA Sports within the first year of the product coming out! Not good. I had such high hopes for this product after my experiences with the previous versions.
Summary: The online forum was discontinued April 13, 2012. So, now you can't save your reports. And the arm tracker doesn't track, so you get stuck in the game with an exercise that you are doing but not getting credit for and it's a total dead end because there is no button to press to skip an exercise. I spent lots of time with my heart rate elevated yelling at the "personal trainer" that I am doing the darn exercise, can't you tell?!
Summary: I used this game for about 10 minutes (maybe even less), and I was already breaking a sweat. It was very challenging and I loved it, but then the sensors stopped working and my character on screen wouldn't move which meant I couldn't move onto the next step of the workout EVER. The game was a gift and I took a while to get around to setting it up so I was way beyond the return period by the time I started playing it, which means I got a very expensive 10 minute workout...
Summary: I too, like many others that have purchased this game has been fan of the series. I was little hesitant at first purchasing this one since the price was pretty high when it first came out. I waited a while until the price dropped and then purchased it. It was perfectly fine for the first 5 days then the arm band peripheral stopped working. (NOTE: YOU CANNOT PLAY THE GAME AT ALL WITHOUT BOTH THE ARMBAND AND LEGBAND PERIPHERAL BOTH WORKING!!!!
Summary: I can not get the heart rate monitor or the leg monitor to connect. I have unplugged all other wireless devices including my wifi router and they still will not connect so I don't believe it's an interference issue. U have tried new batteries, and I restarted the Wii TWICE with the usb receiver already plugged in. The worst part is that without the monitors I can not use the program AT ALL. Working out usually makes me feel good. EA Active 2 makes me p!$$ed off.
Summary: The straps are very uncomfortable... the game stops if you do not do the exercise exactly right... and even if you do... very very annoying... not a good work out as the calorie burn is no where near what they tell you it is... this game stinks... period!
Summary: I purchased this game over 2 months ago and immediately started the 9 week program. For the first 6 weeks things were going great. I liked the exercises, I started losing weight, and the problems that other people have stated (Wii remote turning off mid-exercise) were able to be overcome. Now I'm in the last couple weeks of the workout, and the arm peripheral has stopped working. All I get is flashing lights when I try to work out.
Summary: Purchased the game locally and the leg monitor quit responding after the first 30 minute workout. The game does not start unless the two remotes are operating. I returned it and purchased a second one. The heart rate monitor stopped working after 10 minutes and the game kept telling me to lower knee, that was on the floor at the time. I enjoyed the workout.
Summary: I used to be the world's biggest EA Active fan, so I bought this one right when it was released (not from amazon; don't blame them). What a disappointment! The games weren't as fun, and the heart monitor, always balky and clunky to begin with, simply quit working after about a month, so I paid the exorbitant debut retail price for a game that won't play. No satisfaction from EA tech support either.
Summary: Was exited with new workouts and graphics but it is a bummer you cant use the program without the gadgets, the heart monitor synced once and then stopped working now have a useless program. In EA support page there are a lot of people with the same problem.
