Academy of Champions: Soccer Review

Cheat Code Central
10 December 2009
  • Conclusion: Academy of Champions: Soccer is not a must-have game by any stretch. However, it is a very competent collection of soccer-themed mini-games. Still, I wish soccer matches weren't quite as simple as they are, but I doubt the intended audience will mind much. After all, both the mini-games and the soccer are brought together quite nicely in the game's Story mode, which will likely keep soccer-loving kids engaged for hours.

Academy of Champions Soccer

Digital Chumps
8 December 2009
  • Conclusion: Academy of Champions Soccer is a cute $30 package that doesn’t seek to redefine the world of casual sports games, but which is a perfectly sufficient distraction in the hands of the right individual. And, by all accounts, that individual is most likely a young amateur gamer who is enthusiastically interested in all things soccer.

Academy of Champions: Soccer - WII - Review

GameZone
21 November 2009
  • Excerpt: If the degree of difficulty were to be scored on a scale of 1-10, it would be an easy 10; if scored in terms of player ability, the moves in Academy of Champions: Soccer would make Ronaldinho sit up and take notice. Ubisoft’s new franchise is in the Academy of Champions theme, with the first release keying on soccer and featuring icons Pele and Mia Hamm.

Academy of Champions: Soccer Review

GamerNode
14 November 2009
  • Excerpt: The Wii, by its very nature, is designed for families and children. While some games offer the “hardcore” experience, others seem too thrown together to be worth any type of game time. Because of this, Wii games that may actually be enjoyed by a lot of people are passed over simply because they are on a system that has a lot of bad shovelware associated with it. Such is the case with Academy of Champions , the new soccer game published by Ubisoft.
