  • Conclusion: The Y-Cam Bullet HD 1080 is a more enthusiast security camera than most homes or small offices will be able to afford (or want to fuss with).
  • Pros: High-quality HD video. Supports motion detection and night vision. Can store data on SD card or NAS.
  • Cons: Very expensive. No frills or special tools for easy use. No SD card included. Unpolished software. Heavy.

Y-Cam Bullet HD 1080 Review

10 May 2013
  • Conclusion: The Bullet HD 1080 is the first high-end IP camera we have had the pleasure of taking a look at and we are certainly impressed by what Y-Cam have brought to the table. Being able to record at 1920x1080 and 30fps means that footage is crystal clear and fluid. This doesn’t just stand for daylight recording either, Y-Cam have equipped this camera with 32 Infra-Red LEDs which give excellent night vision capabilities and up to 15m of viewing.
  • Pros: + 1080p Resolution, + Fluid motion with 30p, + Great build quality, + Excellent night vision capabilities

  • Conclusion: Some compromises to keep the price down, but the Bullet is still a good choice for low-cost external surveillance
