Works Great!

Joe T., Newegg
21 October 2013
  • Summary: If your looking for a reliable webcam, Its worth the $30 dollars.
  • Pros: -Clear Picture -Easy Install -Great for Skype / video chatting
  • Cons: -Mic works but it picks up EVERYTHING in the room, have to turn sensitivity down or people will complain how loud you are. (Could just use a different mic)

  • Pros: Works great after a couple of weeks. Plug and play.
  • Cons: None for the price and free shipping. If you just need the basics, this will do just fine.

Big Bang for the Bucks

John B., Newegg
12 March 2013
  • Summary: This really has a much higher resolution true to the 5.0 Megapixel and it runs great on very low light too. I'm fading out the use of a Logitech Cam on another of my PC's, they have gone downhill and when I can't uninstall a Logitech cam driver stuck in programs, I won't endorse their products any...
  • Pros: I own several of these, works very well as described.
  • Cons: None at all......

Works out of the box with Linux Mint

Donald H., Newegg
23 February 2013
  • Summary: I am using this to communicate over Google+ Hangout with my wife and kids while working 24hr shifts at fire station. It is great because the kids love seeing me before bedtime and they like being a little silly on camera. Would buy it all over again.
  • Pros: Easy to adjust positioning. Nice clear picture in average lighting. Linux Compatible. Great price. Feels pretty solid. Good Microphone. Simple wire mount.
  • Cons: No on/off switch. It would be nice to have a way to cut power to it without unplugging just for security.

Below AVG Web Cam

Jacob C., Newegg
14 January 2013
  • Summary: I bought this on Cyber Monday for 10$, no complaints here. Make sure you DO NOT use the MIC on the camera. Use a Headset or Stand alone mic. This is Web Cam is only really worth 10-20$
  • Pros: Works (Camera Part) Runs @ 640/480 30FPS Picture is viewable and clear enough to make people out. (no pixels) Easy to attach to different surfaces.
  • Cons: It does lag a-little bit, so don't move too fast. Mic is useless and can cause the device to fail* (Does not work)

Pretty good in '09

Maksim R., Newegg
8 January 2013
  • Summary: It gets 3 stars because regardless of the pro's and cons, for 2009 when I purchased this it was a mediocore, bang for the buck type of camera, and its longevity is fine. But one egg off because the quality really wasn't good, and another egg off because this thing is still selling for 20$?
  • Pros: - Did the job - easy setup - drivers got it running in no time
  • Cons: - fair quality even for '09 not to shabby - very much lag - dim color and light/darkness

Works well

Brian D., Newegg
6 December 2012
  • Summary: I gave it a 4 because there isn't much spectacular about it, but it is very practical and useful.
  • Pros: Works well. I forgot to check that it had a microphone and was pleasantly surprised when I used it and discovered there was a microphone.
  • Cons: None

Devon S., Newegg
6 December 2012
  • Summary: If this is all that is in your price range, you'd be better off saving up for something of better quality.
  • Pros: Has an okay swivel. Cheap.
  • Cons: Very low frames per second. Bad microphone quality (basically useless). Cheap plastic. Terrible software options.

Not Bad At All!!

RICHARD O., Newegg
16 November 2012
  • Summary: On linux (Slackware64-14.0 multilib) it will work on Skype, VLC, WXcam. Will work on SMplayer from cli. Don't know how it works on Windows because I don't use that stuff.
  • Pros: Great for Skype on Linux. Light could be better but for what it costs there's no complaints from me.
  • Cons: Really no cons when you consider the price.
