Summary: Set up worked very well. Haven't had a chance to test in a videoconference but local video is very good and audio levels OK. Based on knowledge of camera and experience with this camera model, it should work well. Thanks.
Summary: I like the cam,but it has its on mind of its on,this bad boy shuts off on its own then come back on to auto focus, embarrassing because I use my webcam a lot for business meetings, the quality is pure but its way to much auto adjusting especially when you are not moving from room to room, ugh I loved the cam when I first got it but I am so done and over with this cam it needs an upgrade
Summary: This is a very good camera and works very well in low light with a exceptionally clear picture. I am well pleased with it. I had some problems installing their software, probably due to compatibility issues with windows 7 X64. Even though they have the windows 7 X64 on their web site, it still was somewhat troublesome. But after I figured it all out (you need patience with this also) all was alright and it works wonderfully.
Summary: I don't know how "HD" this thing really is, but it works well and I only spent $15 for it on a black friday deal. I am using an LED monitor with a high powered desktop. I don't slack on my PC's. But I'm not a big camera chat person. I bought this for the occasional Skype call I have with my family in other states.
Summary: I have had a lot of web cams, and this is the best. Yes, the software is simple, but I did not buy it for the software. This camera will find movement, and zoom in on your face, giving great results. I will warn you. If you do not have a USB 2.0 port, you will not get good results. Make sure you plug it in to the correct port, and you should not have any problems.
Summary: I wanted to use a web cam with Skype and bought this Philips SPC1300NC. I liked that you could hook it up and run an audio check. BUT...how do you do a video check? I finally called a friend on Skype that I knew had a web cam. I could see him as we talked but the "black square" on my monitor (that I guess should show how MY image looked) remained black. We fiddled with all the buttons. Nothing from me.
