Summary: The microphone simply does not work, even my built-on mike from 10 feet away works better that this Microsoft product. Adjusting the position of the mike is completely inconvenient adn not quite possible, to be honest. Waste of money, do NOT recommend to anyone.
Summary: Look at the picture of this headset very carefully. Note that the molded plastic that wraps around your ear from the head phones appears to have a VERY narrow opening. This results in the plastic frame pinching you as it wraps around your ears. The pain becomes more noticeable the longer you wear them. Additionally, the wrap-around plastic piece has numerous design flaws that result in other painful experiences while wearing the product.
Summary: My voice sounds tinny with the black foam piece on it. I keep having to repeat myself because no one can hear me. I also have to hold the microphone up because it doesn't stay in place. Not worth the price. Do not recommend.
Excerpt: The microphone does not adequately cancel background noise. The inline volume control is poorly connected, slight movement results in loss of sound, a light tap renews. For the money, Microsoft could use slightly higher gauge wire and have a decently soldered connection in the rheostat.
Cons: Inline control poor, Poor Microphone, Poor Sound Quality, The mic is noisy
