Summary: I BOUGHT IT FOR THE PRICE.. I LIKED IT AT FIRST BUT AFTER USING IT FOR AWHILE THE CAMERA GETS HOTTER THAN A FIRE CRACKER. I WAS WORRIED IT WAS GOING TO BURN UP SO I SHUT IT DOWN AND GOT MY EL CHEAPO BACK OUT AND IT ACTUALLY WORKS BETTER THAN THIS CAM. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.
Summary: My ($40) XBox360 Live Vision camera did a better job at taking clear photos, and keeping the video quality/speed high. I also noticed that when I tried using the VX7000 with skype, it wasn't very clear, like there was some sort of incompatability or something.
Pros: Has an indicator light that tells you when it's being used. Also has a clip so you can put it onto your LCD screen.
Cons: Image quality is really bad for a 2.0MP sensor. Even on the highest setting at 7.6MP (it uses software to get it that high) the quality is pretty terrible. Cheapo point-and-shoot digital cameras do a better job. They also don't tell you that once you go past 800x600 your video drops from 30fps do...
Summary: I had to replace my not-so-old Logitech webcam with something new, since it did not work under 64-bit Vista. The VX-7000 does work with 64-bit Vista, and was the highest quality camera Microsoft offered that would attach to my desktop monitor.
Summary: I bought this web cam after reading on Microsoft's web site that it is compatible with Windows 7 but I could not get it to work with Windows 7 at all. After several attempts and downloading latest driver, still no joy. I had to install it on a XP machine which works fine.
Summary: L'obligation de passer par MSN pour activer les réglages est stupide. Encore un format propriétaire pour Microsoft. Elle ne fonctionne pas avec toutes les applications. Dommage car l'optique est bonne.
