Summary: Always do a web search on something before you buy it.
Pros: Small design, quick installation.
Cons: Video quality is nonexistent. Won't work with anything. In a few times that video did barely show, it was of horrible quality and eventually refused to turn on at all. I suspect it might be a dud. Will be returning it.
Summary: I'm very frustrated by this highly rated camera from Microsoft. Despite Microsoft's saying this camera is compatible with Windows 7 64 bit, I couldn't get it to work at all. I'm not happy and am returning it and trying a different camera.
Summary: I CANNOT GET THE VIDEO TO WORK ON AIM . MY FAMILY USES AIM AND WE CAN VOICE CHAT AND IM. HAVE NO CLUE AND HAVEN'T FOUND ANYONE THAT KNOWS WHAT THE TROUBLE IS. MAYBE I BOUGHT THE WRONG CAMERA ?
Cons: The major problem with this camera is that it purports to be a 2.0 MP camera, but if you actually try to record at anything over 640x480 the frame rate drops incredibly low resulting in very choppy graphics. What's the point of high resolution if you can't effectively use it.
Summary: after couple of minutes, it stops working with "Lifecam.exe has stopped working....etc." message. When looking at Problem Report, I find Fault Module..Kernel32.dll app crash. I have installed and uninstalled atleast 10 times. But the result is same. I am using the latest Utility.
Summary: On the box this camera is marked as "Vista Certified". However, even after downloading the latest Vista Webcam software from the Microsoft website, the installation failed because the required drivers could not be found.
