Summary: easy to set up, attaches to laptop or free-standing monitor. good sound and video. worth it for price, only criticism is the automatic follow feature zoooms in and out almost continuously for no apparent reason.
Summary: I rated this a 4 because overall I'm satisfied with the hardware. The only remaining problem I have is that still images are save as 640x640 instead of 640x480, aside from this I like the camera a lot.
Pros: face tracking and low-light capture are two pluses to this webcam. There is also the ability to post an image directly to your msn site.
Cons: driver software is not very stable for me under either winxp or vista Ultimate.
Summary: I've really enjoy the Cam, and the pictures are great. Picture rate is a little slow when online, and not sure if that is due to having DSL vs. Cable modem, or camera limitation. I wish some of the extra features worked on more than just Microsoft Live Messenger.
Summary: I bought this Microsoft LifeCam VX-600 Web Camera . It works perfect . I like it very much , it is compact, fits perfect on top of my computer screen or on my computer desk. I do wish the colors would be more vivid and life like . Other than that I like my Microsoft LifeCam VX-600 Web Camera .
Summary: I got this after seeing a friend who was using the same camera, and it looks great on the receiving end. Previously had a creative webcam, picture is obviously better. This camera only works on XP or higher, and be prepared to plug it in to a USB 2 slot.
Pros: As mentioned, good low-light capability, haven't had any problems with the built-in mic, the windows live call button is handy if you use MSN or windows live messenger. Long USB cable, sturdy when attached to my monitor, but finicky about what monitors it can sit on nicely. Haven't had any proble...
Cons: Not very sturdy when only sitting on desk, had to tape USB cable to desk to keep it from pulling the camera towards the edge.
