Summary: The microphone doesn't work. It did when it was new but then for somereason it quit working. There are lots of persons with similiar problems and apparently microsoft has no solutions for this. I've found a lot of complaints about this on line.
Summary: This product is not even worthy of the one star I gave it. I just bought this for my parents computer because it was a good price. Now I know why. They shouldn't even give it away! It wasn't ready for the market. I have the Logitech 9000 and I recommend this. The Lifecam software never installed.
Summary: I paid $50 for this camera but it is probably worth $10. The Windows software is slow and "heavy" and the CCD is very noisy, equivalent to the low end models in the market. Stay away from this camera and go for a Logitech model (which I use at work and is very crisp and clean).
Summary: Running this on Vista. The actual design of the camera includes a prominent, non-programmable button inexeribly tied to Microsoft Live Messenger. Interestingly, installation of the program is also necessary to unlock access to audio and video settings menu option from the Life Cam software.
Proof that the top-of-the-line cam belongs at the bottom of the line.

Summary: I purchased this cam from CompUSA last week and it's simply not worth the money. Ironically, from the picture you can see why. See the shiny plastic over the lens? Well if you like lens flare, you will LOVE this camera because in the presence of any bright non-heavily-diffused lights, you're going...
Summary: My family and I just relocated 3 states away from our extended family and wanted to get a good webcam to keep in touch with everyone and let our 2 year old see his grandmother once and a while.

Summary: I needed a web cam in a hurry having broken the stand of my trusty cheapo Phillips model and the review by John Daniels was 18 months old and so I figured problems all cleared up by now - May 2009.So how wrong could I be? 100% as it turned out.PLEASE READ HIS REVIEW AND BELIEVE!!
Summary: I have bought this webcam as an upgrade to my old one. After a thorough search I decided on the Microsoft Lifecam VX-6000. I did search for the best price and Amazon price was about 75% cheaper. I received it within 6 days. Installation was straight forward. And the picture quality was good.
Summary: I have to agree with the poor quality here. I owned one for a few days and sent it back (not bought through Amazon I should add). The video shows lots of noise (seems to improve a bit if you lower the USB bandwidth but can't see why that should make a difference), but the worst part is the...
