Very easy and nice.

Summary: I bought this after watching the film review. It is easy to install and use and has been working great for me. When I play pc games my friends and I can chat during them thanks to this web cam which has been delightful. I would recommend it to anyone who isn't very computer knowledgeable. I admit the multi colored camera covers are a bit silly but hey, no harm done.
Summary: I bought this for my son's older Windows laptop, but found that it works well on the Mac mini in my office. The audio is very good and those who see me via Skype say that the picture is good. Now son has a new laptop with a built in camera, and I get to keep this Lifecam Vx-5500. Several people in my company have these same cameras and everybody likes them, but I'm the only person using it on a Mac.
Summary: I bought this webcam a few days ago, based on the strength of its positive reviews. Not sure if I got a defective example or if the thing is actually THIS bad. It WON'T white-balance! If I move -even slightly- while I'm on camera, the image washes completely out, and I become a faint outline on a screen that is totally blown out. I'm sitting about 2 feet away from the camera.
Summary: this webcam is a great buy if like me, all you want is to video chat with your family and friends, but you don't care if it's an HD picture. the microphone does pick up some background sound though. my friend sometimes complain they can hear others talking.
Summary: I followed the instruction to install the software and connect the webcam. But the image I got from the webcam flickered, regardless of which messenger I used (e.g., Windows Live, Gmail, and Skype). I went to Microsoft's support website and downloaded the update, which did not solve the problem. I do not recommend this webcam; the sound quality is not consistent either. Also, I bought it from a third party here, which made it impossible to return.
