Microsoft dead in Windows
21 July 2015
Summary: I feel odd giving 4 stars for this Studio Cam due to the fact that it is useless for the Win 10 purpose I needed it. I got around my issue by trading with a family member's Logitech C525 on Win 7, runs great. I was surprised that the Logitech installed and ran fine under Win 10. Go Figure ..
Summary: We use these Microsoft LifeCam's in all of our small classrooms on campus. These work great to add a quick camera for lecture capture. We use these with Tegrity and they are super easy to install. Just plug them in and the software will load on the computer.
Excerpt: This webcam is great for anyone who wants to do anything from skype call to live stream. This camera has great quality for the price. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap and reliable webcam.
GREAT 1080p 30fps webcam *if you adjust everything manually and have good lighting*. Internal solder cracks when camera too hot.

Summary: If you want a 1080p 30fps webcam that you can literally adjust everything by hand, this is the only webcam on the market that can do the job. When you adjust everything manually, and you have good lightsources to light up the subject well, the picture is by far the best on the market.
Excerpt: The picture is sharp and clear. The automatic focus work well on the webcam too. You can place it to the top of your monitor and it's stable. The webcam has a 5 1/2 UBS cable that isn't shown in the picture. You don't need to buy a cable unless you need a longer cable.
Excerpt: Worked great right out of the box. The only problem I had is with Microsoft not supporting the camera controls in Win 8.1. I have to be happy with the built-in Win 8.1 controls (with no pan, tilt, zoom); or use a third party software.
