Summary: After plugging in the hardware the drivers were searched for. I went to Microsoft and found the HD-6000. After installing the drivers in Windows 8 the cam never worked again. I moved it to a Windows 7 machine and could not get it to work there any more either.
Summary: USB cable is too short, two feet. It is not long enough for the desktop tower under the desk. Cable length is not mentioned in the product description. Why would Microsoft make webcams for laptops when they already have built in webcams? This product should be made to accommodate desktops too.
Summary: My husband and I were very disappointed in this product. It only lasted a few months with just a few hours of Skype time, then it broke. We tried to re-install the program on multiple computers but the camera would not work. When we attempted to return, the policy had expired after 30 days from purchase. We will not buy any kind of product like this again!
Summary: Well, I don't have the habit to write reviews for products, but this time I have to say something for you guys preparing to buy this webcam. Firstly I want to say something good about this product: 1. well designed and manufactured: it comes with a little bag for storage, and the details are all very nice. 2. The clip is easy to use and the wire is just fine for a notebook(this is especially for notebooks, so don't buy it for desktops).
Summary: Does not do what it is supposed to do. Attached to a W7 64bit computer freshly setup and after several hours of attempting to get it to work I gave up. Downloaded all the latest software from MS as well as the latest driver for this software. Good luck with the driver page on MS as it is very poorly put together and hard to determine just what you should utilize. Purchased because I thought that since it was Microsoft it would work with their software. It does not.
Summary: This product is really good looking. But after hours installing the software, it still will not work on 720P mode. I update the software to Lifecam 3.5, but still it will not work. Indeed, it could work even without installing the software, but what about the 720P HD widescreen and Truecolor? "Good Job!" Microsoft, again!
Summary: I have a Dell 27" U2713H monitor. The thickness at the top is 2.5cm. The grip on the webcam opens only to 2.1cm so it won't fit on the monitor. It's not like this isn't a mainstream monitor. Now I have to find some way to 'stick' it to the top rather than clipping it.
Summary: I bought this webcam and I was happy with the info showing but unfortunately when I received it came without the CD when I ask about it the seller said doesn't come with the CD and someone else updated it their profile and add the CD picture with webcam, so i had to return it back to the seller. I'll not recommend.
