Summary: Gives a lot of headaches, the software it comes with doesn't work on Windows 8, doesn't even use the 720p HD quality, and gave me a load of other problems. I followed tutorials on which program to use it with to get the 720p HD, but they did not work and ran at 15 FPS.
Summary: The webcam itself is nice but installing the software is a pain. I have no time to find the right software on Microsoft. If they want me to use this product they need to make it easier for me. I don't want to download a package which may contain programs I don't want.
Excerpt: I use the web cam on my 52" Samsung Plasma TV through my home theater laptop. The picture quality appears to be on par with other cams I have used and the feedback I recieve from others say the quality is good. Keep in mind this has been used only with SKYPE and has not be tested extensivly by me. Your internet connection speed as well as the other parties connection speed could also impact the precieved quality of this cam.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Fast Connection, Sharp Image
Excerpt: The camera was as expected but it was not in the orginal packaging and the CD with the PC software and owners manual were not included. I borrowed the software from another camera owner to compelte the installation.
Summary: The webcam itself is good. It takes decent quality video and pictures to a certain point, but I've noticed depending on the light situation, the video can get very grainy. The mic on the cam is actually quite good too (obviously not studio quality, but good for a webcam). The big downside, surprisingly, is the software. I'd much rather use any other software, but then it seems most others won't know the cam can take 720p video. Another downside is the stand/latch.
Pros: - Looks good
Cons: - Price, - Grainy video, - Mic can't be used for games (seems to lag the whole system when used), - Stand/latch is sub-par, - Software is garbage
