Summary: This is a PERFECT item for communicating with older family members. This is the second one I purchased and I haven't had a bit of trouble. I have purchased a separate monitor in each case and I have it on auto answer video/audio. When we call we have the camera focused on a chair that is in a quiet part of the main room and we just call out there name and they come to the chair.
Summary: We bought this when we became grandparents, and bought one for the kids. It works flawlessly and is easy to set up (5 minutes!) The picture quality is fantastic and it really has excellent sound quality. I dinged one star because it will only register with one account at the time. This was a bit disappointing because I have one account and my partner has a separate account which makes sense since we both use Skype on our phones and tablets.
Great replacement for a traditional computer & webcam setup

Summary: Great replacement for a traditional computer & webcam setup. Plugs directly into the tv's HDMI port and connects to the wireless router. Big screen teleconference plus reduced wear & tear due to long conferences. We have had to hard-reset the unit about once a week when video refuses to start.
Summary: It is not perfect but it is really good. Easy to set up and works without fussing. I bought this as a gift for someone in FL and liked enough to buy a second one for someone else in PA. I havent seen one in person but conversations are clear and the picture I see is hi res. i gave it a 4 instead of a 5 only because I haven't seen it up close and because the picture is sometimes slightly out of focus and i can't determine (remotely) whether this is adjustable or fixed.
Good product, but will NOT do group (multipoint) video conferencing.

Summary: This is a good product. It appears to be well made and worked perfectly in 2-user point-to-point mode (that is, only two endpoints involved), but it does have one restriction that forced me to return the whole lot. I purchased 7 of these things in order to do multipoint (group) video teleconferencing for a fire department, but it turns out that this product will not perform that function.
