Summary: bought this I don't know how long ago, and just came across it in my "review this purchase" list while going through a bunch of others. this cam was awesome until Logitech decided to stop supporting it... somewhere around Vista. I never ran Vista. Don't know anybody who did and survived to tell the tale. However, Logitech's official answer was "download and install blah blah drivers, then go here and do this until you get that. it should work.
Summary: I ordered this camera so that I could Skype with my Boyfriend, and also I wanted the headset so that I could use Ventrillo for World of Warcraft, so I figured instead of buying 2 seperate products, I'd get this combo pack. The Camera has much better quality than my old built in laptop camera (i bought this for my desktop). And the built in microphone is a big plus. The headset has great sound quality although it does fit kinda weirdly.
Summary: Very happy with the Logitech E3500 Webcam. Fit right on my LCD monitor - interfaces nicely with SKYPE. Have already used it several times and it works flawlessly. Had to figure out how to run the audio test in Skype - the camera light comes on automatically in the video test, but not the audio. The Headset was truly a bonus, since it's not required to run the webcam at all, with the built-in mike and external speakers.
Summary: Clear picture, good color & contrast on both light and low light condition. Work great with no problem on XP pro 32-bit and win 7 64-bit. On win 7 64-bit just let windows find and install driver automatically. I did not try on other windows such as Win 7 32 and Vista 32/64... Manual focus only, overall this is the very good web cam.
Summary: i needed a webcam to chat with my friends online. I knew i needed one that would not fail on me. This logitech qucikcam is the best if u want good quality and at a simple price. Even though i think the price should lower a lil bit for only a lil bit of megapixels for the price. Recommended for anyone in need of one.
Summary: The software for the webcam was difficult to install because the system on the computer was the Windows 7. The cd kept prompting us to go to the website and do all this stuff but we ended up taking the cd out and just plugging in the USB straight to the computer and it installed perfectly. It says not to do that directly but the software would not have installed otherwise. The camera works great and the microphone. The software thing was just annoying.
Summary: I purchased the QuickCam for use with my older Sony Vaio running Ubuntu OS as a help post said it will work straight out of the box and I wanted to use it for Skype. It did work straight out of the box, the headset allows me to talk and the video works well. Unfortunately since the actual software that came with it won't run on this OS so far I'm limited to using it with Skype. But that's ultimately why I bought it so I'm pleased with my purchase.
