Mac Compatiable?? What??

Summary: Bought this camera for my 85-year-old Grandmother to Skype with her Great Grandchildren across the country. The Mini-Mac is running OS X, 10.5. Half of the time, the picture that the computer receives from the camera is way, way too dark to be usable. The reliability factor is unacceptable.
Summary: My first experience with the Logitec webcam and it's Zeiss lens was excellent! However, when I purchased this second unit for my mom's Mac, it has been less successful. Unfortunately, it works ... by a fashion ... so I can't send it back and we are stuck with it!
Summary: Sure you plug it in and it just works, only after you change the settings to work with iChat and Skype. This camera is not built to work with Apple Macs, Native: Video does not work in Photobooth unless you hack it and still bad quality.
Summary: This camera will not operate once the computer sleeps until you reboot the machine. If you use more than one camera application like Skype and iChat as soon as you switch applications the picture goes dark. The solution is to unplug/replug the USB connector which is a pain.
Summary: Based on the reviews on this website and others, my wife and I decided to by the camera for use with my father's intel duo core mac mini (1.8Ghz). We also considered buying it for my mother as her computer went belly up; one option was to pick up another mini and combine that with existing monitors,...
Caution: Requires Operating System OS 10.4.11 or higher

Summary: I believe this webcam may work well as described, however, after receiving it and spending quite a bit of time trying to figure out why my Mac did not recognize this camera I decided to contact Logitech support before returning this camera. I am still using OS 10.3.9 and very happy.

Summary: Bought one of these from Amazon just before Christmas but didn' t install till January, seemed to work fine for a while on my new I mac with Snow leopard then all of a sudden camera went dark, tried various things without success and concluded camera was faulty, returned to Amazon who duly replaced...
Summary: Going by all these reviews - it sounds great - but elsewhere I read a review about problems using this with Screenflow - which is what I wanted it for - and right enough it isn't good at all. I'm using a year old macbook pro and the camera looks great in ichat or quicktime - but not in Screenflow.
Summary: Good quality webcams for the Mac are hard to find. This one looked like the best option but when I connected it to my new Mac Pro (Snow Leopard O/S) it did nothing ~ no recognition; no automatic software download; no lights; no pictures; no sounds ~ nothing. A dead parrot!.
