Pros: Video image is a really nice improvemen from the 4000.
Cons: No tripod attachment like the 3000, and the stand is too light and takes a lot balance on flat surfaces. By far the worst design of all the logitech cams I've used. I have 3, and I've just solved it by nailing them all to small wooden platforms.
Summary: I think this webcam deserve too much hypes from the consumer... I guess it's because it's the "best" one available in the market today, hence it's consider good.
My two cents:
It works VERY CLEAR in the day time and whenever there are good amount of lights... But once it is dark, the webcam will will do an autofocus which will adjust few things on the setting and the frame rate will drop to 6 FPS.
Summary: 1: The mount is terrible and should have been a heavy duty Bag Clip with a third leg to make a surface stand. Or an old style screw clamp.2: Image quality is god but doesn't take into consideration cable quality.3: Sound pick up is very good.4: S/W needs more logical controls.5: Price it [$] too high - retail. Cheaper cams do as good.6: Basic design should be simpler, as in a simple square box.7: A Fish Eye adjustable lens as an option would be nice!
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Fast Connection, Good In Low Light, Good sound capture
Cons: Skype is not very good, Sw is tricky to master
Summary: The camera worked fine after the initial setup, but the next day,and again after support,it won't show the currently recorded video nor is there any sound.I'm going to have to contact Logitech support again.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Fast Connection, Good In Low Light, Great Extra Features, Sharp Image
Cons: Cnet says it will work with Macs, but didn't spell out I needed OS 10.4.9. I ordered one from Amazon and found this out from Logitech support. And, Logitech doesn't make a single camera for me. Nice.
