Logitech Rebates are deceptive
Nutterbutter "Sam", Amazon

Summary: I purchased this product and so far am happy with it. I do, however, believe that Logitech as a company is deceptive in it's rebate allowance. I typically review rebate information very closely, as I know that rebates include as many restrictions as possible to avoid to company paying them out.
nice if you have a pc, look close if you've got a Mac
3 November 2005
Summary: It's misleading to say this is compatible with Mac--I had an inkling its Mac abilities were limited but what information I could get from here and the Logitech site and a couple of others I checked was vague enough that I got my hopes up.
Summary: This camera is NOT compatible with VISTA... They're website has a fix for that BUT the fix sucks. I tried it on 2 DIFFERENT computers. A computer geek that I know found an alternative. So I am now able to use it. BUT the picture is VERY GRAINY IF it's used in zoom mode.
Summary: I bought both Logitech quickcam Pro 4000 and quickcam notebook Deluxe at the same time. Here I will discuss only Pro 4000. The video of Pro 4000 is very clear when I chatted with friend in Los Angeles. My friend said that the sound and video is very good.
Summary: The first thing I want to say is that the difference in quality you get out of this cam is very evident depending on what IM program you use. I used Yahoo for a while with family and we were all about ready to toss the thing in the garbage.
Workable but very poor optics, weak to useless bundled s/w

Summary: This is a workable little device, but I wish Logitech had put in better optics. It has very crude optics, but there's a manual focusing ring. I couldn't find mention of that feature anywhere, so you've learned something here already!
Summary: The camera works. Installation is easy. This is not the best camera and regarding picture and video quality - just average. The specification for this camera are confusing. The camera has "Face tracking" option and of course when I read it I expected same face tracking as the Orbit webcam (real...
Summary: Construction is very cheap; Logitech should include super glue to mount the camera on the base. Don't try to adjust the rubber focus ring unless you're just out of the shower; it requires bone-dry fingers to grip and not slip.
Summary: I was hoping this camera would blow the socks off my old Intel PC Camera. Well, it doesn't. It's okay. If my old camera would have worked with XP I wouldn't have bothered getting this supposedly upgraded camera. It's 5 years newer, and no better.
Summary: This is my first time buying a web cam....and I have to say is, it's a great product. One feature I like, is the feature where it track your face. You don't have to play around with the software to pinpoint the face. One big bad factor about the logitech...the software.
