Summary: When I use it, this works perfectly. I discovered that maybe seeing me while talking was not always a good idea, so I also use the "blinders" from time to time and say the remote picture isn't working.
Excellent webcam - no video lag - superior clarity

Summary: I tried both Microsoft's LifeCam VX-3000 and VX-6000. Had 'em both home and ran trials with my Intel Pentium D Dual Core 3.00GHz CPU with 2 gigs of ram and, with both of those, the video lagged the audio (distractingly so). Spent the better part of an hour on the phone with a friendly Microsoft customer service rep one evening (got through on their toll free line)and he pointed me to new software for the VX-6000.
Summary: Had some difficulty installing the software on Windows Vista x64, but with the help of Logitech got it going (turns out it takes a LONG time to load the software - don't interrupt the installation). Love the motorized pan and tilt!!

Summary: I have about three different logitech webcams, one for my laptop, it is the small clip on one, and the other two are for my desktop computers at work and home. Why three, because I got them all at a good price. The orbit can just sit on the desk, so as to not be in the way on the lcd screen. I purchased this one without software becaused I already had some from my other webcams.
Summary: The instructions/directions are not very helpful, and we had to download the software because the cd did not work. But once we got it installed -- which ended up being super fast and easy, we use it all the time with NO problems. It changed our lives and allowed grandparents to be a regular part of our lives, even though they live across the country. I would recommend this product to anyone with highspeed internet access who has long distance family or close friends.
Summary: This pricey webcam lives up to the hype. This camera was purchased to replace an older Logitech model several generations old. All of the features work as promised. The face tracking is a little slow, but works and slow is good as you want the camera to think before bouncing all around making the viewer on the other end ill. I use this camera on a Dell XPS 400 and Windows XP SP2. I loaded the software from the QuickCam 9.5 CD.
