Summary: I originally purchased this cam because it got a good review for being Mac compatible. When I received it, it worked with its own LWS software only - it was not usable with Photo Booth or any other native Mac software.
Summary: Software does not load on a Windows Vista platform even after trying all of Logitech's troubleshooting techniques including what they call a "workaround" "clean install". Tech support says to try the clean install even though I told them it had already been tried. How bright is that?
Summary: This product's software does not work with the Mac OS and "customer service", when you finally get to them, admits it. In my opinion, this is nothing short of fraud. Logitech advertises it for the Mac yet it is not fully functional. The camera works but that's it.
Summary: This product is not fully functional with a Mac OS. The software instantly crashes so you can't record video. Logitech is through and through a PC company and is completely dishonest in foisting off their products on the Mac community.
Summary: I don't know who's fault this is, but since Flash conferencing is the main reason I bought a webcam I'm not happy and giving it only 1 egg. Regardless of where the problem lies, Logitech should work this out with Adobe - there are a number of similar complaints posted on forums.
Pros: I purchased this web cam about a month ago. The picture is very clear and it has a lot of options for zooming and changing the position of the camera through it's software controller in windows. The Logitech interface is pretty straight forward and the install was easy. It seems to work well - wh...
Cons: Compatibility is a huge issue with this webcam! It works with YahooIM if you do a Video call, but the update rate is terrible if you run it under the "View My Cam" Option. The picture flickers like crazy when you use Logitech's own software, but recorded videos look okay during playback. The bigg...
Summary: I bought a Logitech 900 (not from Amazon) only to discover that it is NOT compatible with a Mac. So I consigned the 9000 to a Windows device, and bought from Amazon a 910 which claims to be Mac compatible. Well, it is, but only barely.
Summary: I upgraded drivers from their website 4/17, and still does not work. I imagine there is zero incentive for them to develop working drivers. What a waste of money.
Pros: This is a great camera for Win XP, Win7 x32. It worked fine under both operating systems.
Cons: Upgraded to Win7 x64 and the camera only works in a very limited capacity. No longer able to view or record in 1080p. Brightness and other picture quality option menus are "disabled" (do not work). Default light level is very low/dark.
Summary: This camera had all the specs that I was looking for and looked very sleek. This camera displays video via the Mac UVC built-in driver, however when using this generic driver there is no ability to control auto-white balance, auto-focus, etc. thereby leaving this camera crippled.
