Summary: I originally purchased this cam because it got a good review for being Mac compatible. When I received it, it worked with its own LWS software only - it was not usable with Photo Booth or any other native Mac software. The drivers have been cut off at OSX 10.6, and Logitech shows no sign of updating them. The performance is spotty at best, and now even the LWS software doesn't run well. Logitech will not comment on this issue publicly.
Summary: Software does not load on a Windows Vista platform even after trying all of Logitech's troubleshooting techniques including what they call a "workaround" "clean install". Tech support says to try the clean install even though I told them it had already been tried. How bright is that? "Clean install" attempt changed enough in the Vista system to prevent a number of other software packages from running.
Summary: Bullfeathers! I have a photo of your camera installed and plugged into my computer and the screen signed into Logitech Webcam C190 Support. Logitech's support site clearly states on my computer screen "No Logitech Camera is attached to computer"!!! ..And YOU have the nerve to suggest that YOU can "trouble shoot" and fix it when Logitech itself cannot?!? Too bad that I cannot attach the photo to this message..
Summary: This product's software does not work with the Mac OS and "customer service", when you finally get to them, admits it. In my opinion, this is nothing short of fraud. Logitech advertises it for the Mac yet it is not fully functional. The camera works but that's it. They gracioustly allowed me to return it. They have wasted my time, their time and have permanently lost a customer in the bargain.
Summary: This product is not fully functional with a Mac OS. The software instantly crashes so you can't record video. Logitech is through and through a PC company and is completely dishonest in foisting off their products on the Mac community. If you are a Mac user and purchase Logitech products you will be immensely frustrated. You will not help with on line "support".
Summary: After reading the reviews on amazon.com, I was ready for a quick install of the HD Pro Webcam C910 on my HP high-end quadcore computer featuring a Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit operating system. However, after nearly two weeks working with the Logitek Customer Care - America, the built-in microphone is still not working. Logitek and I have a lengthy thread of communications back and forth.
Summary: I bought a Logitech 900 (not from Amazon) only to discover that it is NOT compatible with a Mac. So I consigned the 9000 to a Windows device, and bought from Amazon a 910 which claims to be Mac compatible. Well, it is, but only barely. You can plug in the too-short USB cable (a few inches shorter than the 900 cord) and you will indeed see a picture.
Summary: This camera had all the specs that I was looking for and looked very sleek. This camera displays video via the Mac UVC built-in driver, however when using this generic driver there is no ability to control auto-white balance, auto-focus, etc. thereby leaving this camera crippled. Many of the advertised features are ONLY available on a PC. If your background is anything other than a blank white wall, then this camera will turn your skin red or blue.
