Don't Buy if You Use Mac Software more recent than 10.6.
15 January 2015
Summary: Don't buy if you use Mac Yosemite. The drivers from Logitech only work for versions 10.5 and 10.6. If you install the software from Logitech, it wil crash. It took work to find that the Logitech software doesn't work after versions 10.6. Shame on you Logitech.
Summary: I have purchase c615. First this site is the most confusing site I have ever seen. I am trying to order tripod for this camera. I am unable to find this item and what does come with camera. Every time I get to this site, I will get additional site such as care advertising or dating site pops up.
Summary: REVIEW UPDATE: This unit seems to work fine on Macs until you connect with someone. Everyone on the other end complains about a jerky unwatchable picture, so while it originally seemed fine to me on MY end, it just doesn't work with Skype on Mac.
Summary: The camera has flicker with artificial light and the software doesn't run well on a Mac, it shuts downs or simply doesn't open. I just finished with their customer service. They say that the camera only works with IOS X 10.6 and if I updated to 10.7.5, it wouldn't work!!
Summary: only works while running os 10.6 or lower. no software support for anything later. Logitech's website is littered with users complaining about the non-compatibility, but they haven't been able to provide a fix for the last two years.
Summary: I had to give a 1 star review because Logitech claims this works on OS X - but it really doesn't. Drivers are written from time to time, and haven't been updated in a while. So if you're running OS X 10.6 or up, the C615 just won't give you picture (nor audio) on Skype. Buyer beware!!
Summary: On the product description and in the details here on Amazon it indicates the webcam is Mac compatible. When I received the box in the mail, it says right on it that it is compatible with Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8. Nothing about Mac is mentioned.
Summary: Amazon should only post Logitech ads with a warning that Amazon cannot vouch for their validity. On the advice of one of our IT experts, I checked out the company website on this webcam. It clearly says it is Mac compatible. Ditto the ad on Amazon. It is NOT.
