Summary: only works while running os 10.6 or lower. no software support for anything later. Logitech's website is littered with users complaining about the non-compatibility, but they haven't been able to provide a fix for the last two years. I thought I must be doing something wrong for months with this item. Only to find out today that it doesn't work with Macs. But too late to return it to Amazon. I bought a lemon!
Summary: I had to give a 1 star review because Logitech claims this works on OS X - but it really doesn't. Drivers are written from time to time, and haven't been updated in a while. So if you're running OS X 10.6 or up, the C615 just won't give you picture (nor audio) on Skype. Buyer beware!! Logitech Mac support is very, very shody.
Summary: On the product description and in the details here on Amazon it indicates the webcam is Mac compatible. When I received the box in the mail, it says right on it that it is compatible with Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8. Nothing about Mac is mentioned. Now I'm reading that previous Mac owners have had issues and I don't even want to open the stupid box! I am NOT happy.
Summary: Well, I was busy testing all other more expensive items before my trip... some how I did not detect that it does not work at all. Not sure if I can get any refund or free repair 3 months later.
Summary: Amazon should only post Logitech ads with a warning that Amazon cannot vouch for their validity. On the advice of one of our IT experts, I checked out the company website on this webcam. It clearly says it is Mac compatible. Ditto the ad on Amazon. It is NOT. I have been using and managing desktop computers and accessories since 1985 and do not need anyone -- such as Logitech customer service -- to tell me what compatible means.
Doesn't tell you that only part of the software is Windows 8 Compatible

Summary: Purchased this for a Windows 8 PC. Checked Logitech's website and was shown to be compatible with Windows 8. The Software CD that arrived with the webcam would not load on a Windows 8 PC. I had to go to Logitech's website and search for the latest Software program and drivers which downloaded and worked with Windows 8.
Summary: This camera would be somewhat decent on a PC I'm sure, on a macbook not so much. I can't do anything outside the very basics with this camera, so why advertise it as mac compatible if it clearly isn't? It is also impossible to turn off the autofocus, so if I decide I want to move at all my camera blurs. This camera should not be advertised as mac compatible, and it's really useless outside of skyping your grandma.
Summary: Read great reviews, but drivers start up (downloaded latest from Logitech.com), then just close during install after checking "OK" to moving on "not meeting minimum requirements" (which is absurd). I read online and this has happened with countless other people as well (BTW: Have a higher end Win 7 Gaming system; i7, 16GB RAM, etc.). Wrote Logitech and they replied after a few days with a canned (and very long) email about uninstall and reinstalling drivers.
Summary: Although the Logitech literature claims that this camera is compatible with Mac versions of the OS10.5 and higher, this device does not work reliably with OS10.6, and it doesn't work at all when you download and install Logitech's latest software patch. This is probably a great camera for Windows users. I have all the windows cameras I need so Amazon is getting this one back.
