Excellent webcam with clear video and voice communications

Summary: Great little webcam. Bought for the kids desktop computer. It mounts nicely on top of the flat screen monitor. The cord is plenty long enough to go several feet to the tower. I have mine coiled up and plugged into the side of the monitor. It works great with minimal background lighting. Primarily used for msn messenger and skype voice and video chat with friends and family. This is the second one I have purchased.
Summary: This webcam came out of the box, plugged into a USB port and immediately began to work. It loaded it's own program without any extra discs. I downloaded SKYPE previously and it was easy to make the two work together. This was probably one of the most easy hardware installation and begging use process that I have experienced in the last 20 years. Thank you Logitech!
Summary: Very pleased with this Logitech model. I purchased this webcam for myself a while back and just purchased another one for my mom. I also recommended this to a co-worker. We are all grandmothers who live distances from our grandchildren and this webcam connects our families. I also like the HD program that comes with it. It's easy to invite family and friends and simple to call them up and talk face to face.
All in all a solid cam, great picture, flexible, easy to use. Great Value!

Summary: I read some great reviews on this webcam. I needed a new one to use with Ubuntu and this one came up in lots of conversations. Worked right out of the box. Very good picture, deals with room light well, no flares, excellent frame rate, mic is acceptable. The fold out mount is also ingenious. It works on my oddly shaped LCD screen as well as the top of my laptop. Hold well too against hard plastic coverings for different screens. I also like the lens cover.
Summary: I'm a long-time user of Logitech peripherals including keyboards, mice, and speakers and have always been satisfied by the quality, ease-of-use and price of the company's products. My streak of satisfaction continues with the Logitech C500 1.3MP Webcam. I originally got this webcam to use with a Windows XP based desktop PC and Skype. However, lately I've been using the C500 with my Windows 7 laptop.
