Summary: I bought two of these web cams at the same time. Great price, very easy to install. One works great the other won't focus. I replaced the bad one with a microsoft vX5000 unit that was twice the cost but works great. So take your chances.
Summary: The C200 is inexpensive and is easy to install. However, those who have experienced the higher end Logitech webcams will be disappointed with the lack of automatic focus and the resulting marginal picture. Its hard to find the sweet spot to get an image that appears to be in focus.
Summary: I just wanted a cheap webcam to connect via Skype to see my new grandson. This seemed to fit the bill. The installation went okay but the video was all distorted with vertical waves and ghosting of my image. I tried all the webcam settings in the software with no luck.
Summary: I had a problem getting this webcam to attach to my monitor. The top of my monitor is slim, and the webcam attachment is wide. It is sort of 'perching' now, but not very stable. I wish there was some warning that this might not fit all monitors, especially the new flat ones.
Summary: I am not too impressed with this webcam. I am constantly having to re load the software. I often have no picture or sound. My parents got the same camera and they have the same problems. I can only assume there is a problem with the software.
Summary: I use the webcam for AIM. Video quality is decent, not great. The software installed pretty easily. I had to uninstall the software and choose a custom install because the Logitech software installed way too much stuff I don't use.
Summary: I must admit I was looking for a web cam to use with Linux and to be honest there aren't many. I thought after reading the reviews and checking out the Linux repositories that this web cam would work, but it only works so-so.
Excerpt: Logitech Webcam C200 Not so long ago I was introduced into the world of Skype by my sister, she convinced me that it was teh most amazing thing ever and that I had to have it or I would be lost!! What she neglected to tell me was that for this I would need a web-cam (which I didn't have).
