Summary: Both the camera and the software installed successfully, bu the software says the camera isn't connected if you try to take pics or do video. The silly software features work as does the monitor, but that is not what one purchases a webcam for.
Summary: I ran the 5210 on three different computers with Windows 7. I had issues with Skype running at the high frame rated. The calls would lock up. The first install did a firmware update to the unit so I know the unit is up to date. There is a real issue with Windows 7, Skype, and the HD 5210.
Summary: Everything about this camera is great, the design, the engineering, the built in hardware compression.... except, the fatal flaw. The pan/tilt head that connects the camera to the base is extremely loose. You can't accurately aim this camera in the direction you want, because of this.
Summary: The monitoring function of this unit appears to be operating when it is not. The files generated by activation of the "motion detection" software do not exist even though the file is available to view, this happens regularly. In consequence, the unit cannot be trusted for monitoring.
