Summary: I'll say it right now: if you buy this for the clamp, or need the clamp to make your setup work, YOU WILL BE CHEATED. The clamp is incredibly loose and a soft rubber that would only work on a very thick monitor. On my flatscreen all it does is pop the webcam off. I ended up putting a sticky pad on the bottom so i can just set it wherever I want to on my desk.
Summary: I am an IT professional so I know a thing or two about computers and drivers. This webcam just wouldn't play on my Win 7 64 bit machine. Installed the drivers and application suite many times with rebooting in between, but the driver just wouldn't install properly and the webcam is not recognized. I even went to HP's website and downloaded the most recent driver and skype fix. Still no go. I just don't have patience for this. Back it goes from whence it came.
Summary: I set this camera up within ten minutes and was using it shortly thereafter. The camera is clear and the lighting/colors are well balanced so that I can use it with good lighting, as well as bad. Occasionally, I'll have a problem with focus, but, with a little adjustment, it usually goes away. However, the bigger problem is how flimsy the mount is. I had trouble getting it onto my computer and it constantly felt like it was going to (and sometimes did) fall off.
