Summary: After following the install instructions I keep getting the error message "camera is being used by another program". I searched the internet for solutions-seems this is a major issue with little or no resolve. Searched HP web site-no solutions. Contacted HP-no response. This product will be going back. Laptop HP running Vista Ult.
Summary: Had this about a month. Worked fine for awhile. Have spent countless times on the phone with HP. My computer does not recognize the webcam. This is a very common problem. Also says... webcam in use by another application. I am running windows 7 with a new HP computer. I think it is terrible for HP to ruin their reputation by not taking back a crappy $30 product. I guess they have more customers than they can handle. What are a few less right?
A fix that may help those who are having trouble with webcam being detected.

Summary: Many reviews have said that they encountered the error "webcam not detected". I had the same problem but finally figured it out and it was very easy.This was on a HP Pavillion PC running Windows 7: Press START Go to Devices & Printers Right Click on the HP Webcam 2100 icon Click Troubleshoot It will detect and correct the problems which are preventing the detection of the webcam. After I did this the webcam was detected by the computer. And walla!
