Summary: The resolution of this cam is not very high. I have two, and it works well enough with an Ubuntu Linux box and a Windows 7 machine. All my software seems to recognize the cam, which is more than I can say for some other webcams out there.

Summary: I was looking for compatibility with Linux OS (Ubuntu in particular) and I'm satisfied. This camera conforms to the USB 2.0 Video Class (UVC) interface standard and that seems to be supported by most operating systems. I had no trouble getting Ubuntu 8.04 through 10.04 to recognize the camera.
