Cons: Software is really odd. I've spent 3-4 hours over the last several weeks trying to figure out how to do basic functions. It seems to be split into two programs and the first program ('Chat and Show') has to launch the second program. The 2nd program is required to access advanced features which i...
Summary: My daughter opened the box and threw it away before I installed the device, so no sending it back. Most of the items I buy from New Egg are really good.
Cons: This camera is definitely not plug and play. I installed and uninstalled the software three times, both from the CD and from files downloaded from the Hercules website to no avail. The camera has a mind of its own. Sometimes it works for a few minutes, showing a very grainy picture, but most of t...
Summary: My wife uses it when she wants to talk to the grandchildren. It is very low end, but I sure haven't seen any problems with color rendition others reported. My guess is that one person had a problem and others parroted the comment. This is most likely a monitor color adjustment
Pros: I works just fine
Cons: A niggler - the clip to hold it to the monitor really isn't much
Summary: A cheap, solid webcam that does everything I need and does it well.
Pros: Easy to set up and use. Had it working with Windows Live Messenger within minutes of hooking up. Provides a nice image, and the built in Mic is top-notch. Also, the mounting system for it is much better than many others I have seen. Very easy to get it where you want. Also, the price was exceptio...
Summary: The blue LED is switchable off/on which is nice. I bought this for the price and compatibility with Vista 64. Must be a strong lens because my ugly face hasn't broke it.
Pros: Works with Vista 64. Bought when they ran an instant rebate and free shipping. Newegg fast shipping. This works great out of the box with quick/easy installation and no problems getting it running. Several adjustment options to the picture quality (Brightness, Contrast, Gamma, Saturation, Sharpne...
Cons: Poor picture quality in lower level light which is unfortunately my light level when I am using the computer. The picture quality even gets worse with traveling or manually zooming in low light levels.
Pros: This is my first webcam, and for the price, I couldn't be happier. The picture quality is quite good; if you're not initially satisfied, try playing with the settings a bit and it will look great. The clip is quite generous, and it can even latch onto the top of my 22" TV without any problems.
Cons: I'll gladly take a blue LED over a red one, but it's quite bright. I think I remember seeing an option that turns it off in the driver program, though.
