Summary: Camera was find but no longer supported by manufacturer. Does not work with Windows 8.1. No updated drivers available. Helpdesk suggested I buy a Logitech web cam. Lousy after sales product support.
Summary: It works ok, but the image quality sucks. Also mine came with some black mark right in the middle of the lens, so I always put my face off center so I don't have a big blotch on me. Kinda annoying.
Summary: gets the job done but the quality isnt that good and will freeze/skip in low lighting. The price makes it better, but would have rather spent a little more to get something better. Would recommend something better if you can afford to.
Summary: I have other webcams, but unfortunately, the more expensive they are, the more memory space they require to run.. I don't want to run additional (stealth) programs when video-chatting or using the cam, that's why i prefer this Dynex to the other more complicated-more expensive webcams, it has a very small "foot-print", and has NO bugs whatsoever.
Summary: I got great value out from this external webcam. All laptops these days come with built-in webcams (I think). But, one of my laptops is a very inexpensive one (about $350). Some of the components are the cheapest available. Basically, the image quality of my built-in webcam was so bad, my audience didn't want to see me. I bought this external webcam so my audience could see me clearly without choppy images.
Summary: I have been personally using the Dynex 1.3 MP Webcam for over two years. In my opinion, it is inexpensive. It is extremely easy to use--plug and play--with no software to install. I even have my children using the Webcam. Moreover, I am truly amazed at the picture quality. For a 1.3 MP Webcam, it was worked as a charm. I have used the Webcam in a variety of lighting sources without issues.
Excerpt: I got the Dynex webcam to put on my desktop at home. I needed one for everyday communication. I want to literally get rid of the phone and rely on VoIP. I totally do not recommend this webcam as it is a waste of money.
