Summary: Also own two Logitech Pro 4000's - they were $70@ last year. In comparison - Decent resolution - Cheap price - Method of attachment is poor. Operation under variable light conditions seems worse - if there is a bright spot in the frame it adjusts more for that than the 4000's. Well worth the price after the steep rebate.
Summary: I did a lot of research and looked at all kinds of reviews on Amazon and elsewhere. I had no trouble on the install and the webcam sits on my laptop just fine - you just have to figure out the best position. The picture quality is good and not grainy but I do have to have a lamp on behind my laptop for better lighting otherwise the picture is darker than I would like. I must admit that the room it is used in is not that bright. I got a great deal with the [...
Summary: This webcam performs fairly well and had no troubles with hook ups or power from the computer. Previous attempts at hooking up a webcam to my computer resulted in power failures and automatic shutdown of the computer, so it was a real plus. The quality is fairly good, colors, brightness, and contrast are a bit to work with and pictures aren't of the greatest quality, but overall with the mic included, a very good buy for the money.
Summary: This is great cam for the money and honesetly, I am confused about what some people were talking about. I have a brand new sony lap top and it loaded PERFECTLY on it with no problem. I didnt have to hunt down other drivers...not sure what others are talking about. As far as the base...I like it on my lap top and on desks...i could see it breaking, but it works well other than that and is nice because it isn't permanent. The picture is clear and adjusts well to light.
Summary: I'm curious as to how computer savvy some of these people are. Do you have 10+ things running in the background? Have you defragged in the past 6 months? How much disk space do you have available? Like any other product, how do you expect a webcam to work well when you haven't reformatted you PC in 5+ years and have installed/uninstalled 50+ different applications over that time??
