Summary: I bought this little webcam about a month or so ago, and the first thing that struck me was that it was almost impossible for me to get the thing to stand up; and attaching it to my laptop screen, like Creative claims you can, forget it. It was so bad, that I even used Duct Tape to keep it in place (the problem is not so much the feet, but the weight; the cord pulls the little cam because it weighs next to nothing.
Summary: This is my first webcam. I selected this over several Logitech models based on other posted customer reviews. I'm glad to report that thus far I am very pleased with the Creative Labs PD1130. It's simple to use, easy to install software, and the picture quality is good. The stand however, is another story. It's made of cheap plastic and without weight in the feet, the USB cable makes it topple over.
Summary: Some preliminary comments based on my first few days with the "Creative Labs PD1130 WebCam NX Pro"... * Installation - Straightforward and easy on Win2K Pro. Nicely integrated live shot of the cameras view in the install process, which builds early confidence that the device is working. * Form factor - As others have noted, the three legged base is dicey on flat services (desk, top of CRT).
