  • Excerpt: Hi, here i'm to talking about the WebCam Go. This Webcam, is one of the four that i'ved tried in my life, and for sure the best one for what it make. First of all i will tell what you can be able to do with it : - Webcam ( videoconference ) - Digital Camera ( Photos ) - Camcorder As Webcam, it's good, very easy to install and very faster. It's resolution is quite better than all other that i'ved tried ( Quickcam etc.etc.
  • Pros: Good Webcam, Good Digital Camera (with no sun ray) and good software
  • Cons: possibility to change resolution only near pc

Basic camera for basic user

Oliy, Ciao
15 June 2001
  • Excerpt: A useful USB webcam that allows photocapture, motion video, video conferencing and automatic web update. Resolution is an average 320 by 240, which gives usable picture quality, with small filesize allowing fast web uploads and downloads, and fast transfer for video chats. The actualy webcam is fairly well built, although the relatively low price means that it is a bit plasticky.
  • Pros: Good value for money, easy to set up
  • Cons: Not a large range of features, picture quality is fairly standard

Caution with Webcam Go

Writer, Ciao
12 June 2001
  • Excerpt: Though in itself and excellent piece of kit, the Creative Labs Webcam Go can have some faults that can be very annoying to the frequent cam user. I have had my Webcam Go since April 2000 and use it on a daily basis and have had few problems with it. The image is crisp and clean and the software that accompanies the device first rate.
  • Pros: Excellent image quality, good resolution, high standards of software
  • Cons: Drivers may need to be reinstalled or updated on a regualar basis, some of the software may require the use of a credit card to activate

Whatta lot for your money

  • Excerpt: In a mad rush, my boyfriend and me flew into PC World in Doncaster the other week, thinking we would pick up a serial cable in order to battle it out against each other on Grand Theft Auto 2. The bus would arrive in 10 minutes time. An hour later we left the store with a cable and the unexpected purchase of a web cam! We had never previously given web cams more than a passing thought, and we were certainly not consumers who'd been previously informed on such an item.
  • Pros: excellent excellent excellent, SO easy to use, fantastic quality images and videos, excellent software
  • Cons: not clear how to use focus

HUGO AGO GO

shak_y2k, Ciao
24 December 2000
  • Excerpt: A while ago I bought a webcam from Creative to use with my computer for video conferencing. As this was a USB camera installation couldn’t be simpler. I just connected it and any drivers were installed subsequently. My primary use was wih Microsoft Net meeting, so I ran it on that program. It guides you through all the optimisation procedures, and there you go, a video cam working. During all this time I did have a few problems with it, but I think it was my fault.
  • Pros: GOOD PICTURE QUALITY
  • Cons: I DIDNT FIND ANY

Portable simple fun - Creative WebCam Go!

NOFEAR, Ciao
1 November 2000
  • Excerpt: How small can simple fun be? Very small. Creative's WebCam Go is a combined Webcam, digital camera and sort of video camera. The camera works either attached to your PC or by itself. When it is attached to your PC you can use it as a webcam on Microsoft NetMeeting or any other chat program that supports video. You can also take still pictures, as well as animation and combine it with your microphone to add sound to your videos.
  • Pros: small and cheap webcam, digital camera, video camera
  • Cons: Pictures lack quality

WEBCAM GO

ipplepen, Ciao
27 October 2000
  • Excerpt: Creative say: “It's a WebCam... It's a Portable Camera... All in One!! Use it for NetMeeting® videoconferencing or video capture, then simply unplug the WebCam Go and go! Take it anywhere, photograph anything, and bring the pictures back to your computer to share with the world.” At a little over USD100 that’s quite a claim, and it’s true. This stylishly shaped multi-purpose camera works well on your computer, or straight out of your pocket.
  • Pros: versitile , stand alone, great value
  • Cons: none

  • Excerpt: I have got a webcam go and am extremely impressed with it. You can use it as a webcam, easily attached to the USB port on your computer or take it off and use it as a digital camera. Picture quality is not always as good as I would like it to be, however, it is perfectly adequate for the purposes I use it for, and I think sometimes low light is the problem. I use this web cam with netmeeting to chat with my sister which is good fun.
  • Pros: versatile, range of functions
  • Cons: not always great quality
