Not very impressive

Summary: I did buy this as a refurbished unit. It's hard to maintain a real sharp focus, but easy to set up and use. The other problem I have is if I keep the camera plugged into the computer I sometimes get a blue screen that indicates a driver problem. This was the last device I installed so I can only assume that it's the webcam. While unplugged the problem never occurs. I tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them. I searched for new drivers and there are none.
Summary: I didn't buy this off Amazon, but bought it second-hand. I found the video quality to be mediocre and the audio to be terrible. I'm also running it on a Mac, which isn't officially supported. I bought it for $10 so I guess I can't complain too much. I did like the fact that you can manually focus the camera and the clamp seems to work quite well. I recommend it if video quality isn't a must have and you're ok with low quality audio.
Defective Software, Clueless Tech Support, No Low Light Performance!

Summary: I bought this camera as a low cost security camera, I also tested its use as an eBay auction picture camera, and IM chat webcam. The software has the following problems: 1) Drains system resources 2) Frequently freezes 3) Uses lower than advertised resolution and frame rate* 4) Installs processes and services that run on startup that the software can't be used to disable** 5) Lacks streaming video*** Installing the software takes more than 30 minutes, and you are better...
Summary: This cam worked fine with XP, but now that I've upgraded to Vista, no more! I looked on the creative website and they have no plans of releasing Vista drivers for this device. Beware, Creative performs extremely poorly in supporting their products.
Summary: I don't want to install their bundled software, so when prompted I just chose to install the drivers, but guess what -- the setup program just froze. Come on, how hard is it to write a proper setup? I should've let windows hardware wizard to search the drivers on the CD instead.
Summary: Lets not even talk about the headset that came with it; that just went in the bin straight away. The cam itself seems good enough, but the software is terrible, the installation is rude (installs all sorts of AOL and Yahoo crap without asking), and the camera is simply BAD in an indoors situation without shedloads of natural light booming in.
Flimsy piece of plastic, easily broken, although the webcam lenses are good

Summary: There is a basic problem with this webcam. The plastic on which it was made is of poor quality. let me explain to you why: The leg stand that connects to the camera has a very thin insert, these can easily be broken by just trying to aim the camera up or down left or right. And once you break these, all you have is a webcam, with no leg stand... therefore a useless webcam. You could think, "Hey, he might just be trying to aim it too forcefuly...
