Summary: The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the software that comes with the camera doesn't work correctly. At first I thought the camera was broken: the software wasn't recording the camera's microphone's sound. Then I realized that it wouldn't pickup my headset's microphone either, so the software is just faulty. The microphone works fine on the camera and the picture is very clear.
Summary: I got a new computer with Windows 8 and my old Creative webcam is no longer supported, although there was nothing wrong with it. As expected, I just plugged in this one and it works fine. The pertinent fact here is that it is compatible with Windows 8, so I am satisfied with it.
Summary: The microphone and camera both use the same USB port with no noticeable problems. People on the other end can see and hear clearly, actually better than any other cams/mikes I've used. I just plugged it into a free USB port (USB2, I think), and began using it. I use the stereo speakers for sound and there hasn't been any feedback or echo complaints. I'm thinking of buying a second to send to a friend who is constantly having problems.
