it really does suck

  • Summary: i just bought the webcam today on 11-12-13 at fry's. i read the good reviews and i read the bad reviews. with that i took a chance that the good reviews were right. they were not. when i plugged the webcam in, my first reaction was, why is it so dark. after playing with it for a few minutes, i switch to the logitech c260 which i was also testing (at work). the difference was day and night. the creative labs webcam being night.

  • Summary: Creative may make a good product, but this webcam isn't it. Poor, blurry, and not in sync or HD as it advertises. I'm going with another brand.

Worst buy

Ryan Beaupit, Amazon
29 July 2013
  • Summary: I purchased this product 2 months ago and have used it sparingly. It only registers on my computer about 20% of the time when I plug it in and malfunctions and freezes almost every time it is registered.

Worst image quality I've ever seen from a web cam

LowRider2112, Amazon
14 June 2013
  • Summary: I highly recommend avoiding this camera. No settings or adjustments were able to save this camera's video/image quality; incredibly grainy no matter what resolution. I have two other non-HD web cams that produce better video than this one. I returned this product for the similarly priced Microsoft LifeCam HD-3000 (get the "for business" model, which just means you don't get the useless box and "how to plug this in" manuals) and could not be happier...

HD = Horrible Display

Paul M., Newegg
23 May 2013
  • Summary: Banging my head on the keyboard for not checking reviews on NewEgg first before buying this product! Indeed the picture quality of this web cam is one of the worst I’ve ever seen. This web cam is supposed to have “HD quality”, however after a _long_ time of fine tuning with the software you download and at the 720p scan res, its picture quality PALES in comparison to my VGA (non-HD) Microsoft VX-5000 web cam which was the same price.
  • Pros: Nice and small. Cable good length.
  • Cons: Software aborts if you have the camera unplugged, which the insert tells you not to do. -1 egg. (Windows 7 finds drivers after plugged in, then install again and it works).
