Summary: Buy a Logitech I guess would be my recommendation. It's a shame because I have always thought highly of Creative.
Pros: The resolution is good, works as intended. The included software and drivers do what they need to, but VLC does all the same things.

Summary: For the price this is a decent webcam. The special effects are fun, and it turned out to be quite durable. Only real problem I had was getting the cam to stay on top of the monitor, the ease of mounting the cam may vary depending on what type or model of monitor it is used with.
Summary: Good for the price, but not a very good camera. I use it for the once in a blue moon Skype call ... it's fine for this. If you're a more serious user you might consider something with better video quality.

Summary: This may be an obvious problem, but I bout the Live! Cam Socialize before Windows 7 was released. It worked ok on my laptop before I did the upgrade, but I tried to use it the other day and the plug n' play feature did not work and the CD couldn't load.
Creative's webcams work well and are easy to install

Summary: Plugged this into my windows 7 system. The camera and microphone were immediately recognized. Everything just worked. Tried it with skype, worked well, no one complained about the microphone quality.
