Logitech is better

Summary: This webcam worked for less than a week. The mic was not working from the beginning, then the computer would not recognize it when I plugged it in. It comes with too much software which can take up a lot of space and clutter your desktop with useless links. I had to send it back for a refund. I bought a LOGITECH webcam for less than what I paid for this, and it has about the same features and it works with no problems.
The Creative LIVE! CAM Optia Pro is not MAC OSX compatible

Summary: I found out that the Creative LIVE! CAM OPTIA PRO is only compatible with Windows. It is not compatible with the MAC OSX operating system itself. I was misled by one of the reviews preceding mine. Glad I called [...] for that. The person who used this webcam on a mac has probably windows installed on the MAC, hence was able to use this webcam.
Summary: The camera works plug-and-play both with Windows XP and with Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid (tested it with Skype), so no installation is required. The cd (which I only tested on Windows) comes with a whole bunch of stuff, some of which cool (motion detection capabilities, time-lapse pictures, etc), but most of which useless so be careful what you're installing. The image is really clear and the built-in microphone works well.
Summary: this is a great webcam! i was looking for a webcam that would work with my Powerbook (MAC) and was getting disappointed with the resolution of the cameras i was finding. This cam works great, did not have to install any software. just plug the USB in the computer and it give it a couple of seconds and there the picture shows up. the resolution is great, picture is clear and colors are great for it being a webcam. I love this purchase.
Summary: This Web Cam was super easy to install and use. I used the Skype software and I was upand running in no time having video conferences with my kids grandparents. The image is stunning and the communication clear. This is a must have and at a great price! I highly recommend.
Summary: I have been through a few webcams so far, and I finally found that this one fits my needs perfectly without any hassle. There is no set up, just plug and play. The head swivels in all axes, which I didn't know beforehand but was pleasantly surprised to find that out. The video quality is excellent, I use Gmail video chat. The built in mic works well, the people I talked with said that my voice was clear and loud.
Summary: After installing the software on my Windows XP machine, my speakers stopped working. I uninstalled it and that did not fix it. I finally used my backup software to restore to a pre-installed state and my speakers started working again. Other than that, the camera seems to work OK.
Summary: Found your web site and after looking at your site with the information on the store I ordered the camera. I have a iMac and not many web cameras fit the iMac. I have a iMac that does not have iSight on it so I was impressed that your web camera also worked with Mac computers. As soon as I plugged the web camera in the iMac turned on without the software that came with it even needing to be installed. Thanks again,John Bates
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Fast Connection, Good In Low Light, Sharp Image
Summary: Overall, I think this camera is a good value. The connection is delayed and the picture is not the clearest. But, compared to the other models which cost much more, it certainly gets the job done. I have a mac mini and this was one of the only decent priced cameras that was compatible. I found going through AIM was the easiest way to connect. I have been told though that this might be the reason for the delay.
