Excerpt: The Creative Labs Cam Chat HD is a compact camera that attaches to my 27" NEC monitor which allows me to position the image as necessary for proper viewing. My monitor is color calibrated monthly so it is easy to determine the accuracy of the colors presented in the camera.
Summary: For the Mac: It's relatively inexpensive, but definitely does not deliver a 720p picture. Plug and chat worked fine after adjusting the audio input. On FaceTime, you have to go to the "video" tab at the top of the page and select the camera microphone for the audio to work properly.
Summary: Using with 2014 Mac Mini. In no way is this camera HD quality. 720p is a hopeful but failed dream for this camera. I replaced an 8-year-old Logitech 640x480 camera, which had its problems but was much sharper than this.
Summary: It is not fair to say I do not like...it is suppose to plug and go...very simple..last night almost 2 hours..if you buy be warned it is not plug and play..you have to go thru many steps to download..would be easier with download on a disk....will most likey return this item.
Summary: I got this camera because the practice of using my Android phone as an IP-based webcam was a hassle, and looked like someone drew my picture on construction paper with crayons. Unfortunately, this webcam is actually worse.

I assume that the 5 star reviews are from people with older monitors where the resolution is low enough for the images to look...
