Summary: I really wanted to like this item. Really needed it for home set up, seemed easy to install. Just moving from one location to another, being very careful. Plastic piece that holds on Eyeball broke, really no way to repair. Can not recommend whatsoever.
Summary: I use this product with my Mac Mini. Beautiful metal product with compact folding design. Works fine, the sound quality is really great, but the video quality depends on sunlight. With artificial light, even with a lot of artificial light, the video is very choppy, almost not usable. You must have strong sunlight to get smooth video from this device.
Summary: Very plug'n'play. I have one of these on each of several computers and am very pleased with both the video and audio. My principle use is on Skype, and never get complaints from my friends and family.
Summary: even though the mac will recognized the camera and allow you to use it, the open source usb driver that the mac utilizes renders the camera pretty much useless. The mic sounds great, but the frame rate on a mac tower is so low it's not functional. The color is terrible. I mean it's super grainy and not even close to a representation of reality. I do like that the camera tucks away. to bad it's a fail on a mac. I've spoken to blue customer service. they had no fix for me.
Summary: I got this refurbished for $10. At that price, I guess I can't complain. Sound quality is excellent, but the volume is very low. As a result, you need to put the microphone close to your mouth, rendering the webcam useless. Effectively, You can use video, or record audio, but not at the same time, at least not on windows 7 Video quality is about as good as a webcam from 2005. I don't mind that its not HD, but its grainy, and the colors look weird.
