Summary: It set up right away with Face Time but I've had some trouble getting it to work with Skype. Hopefully, I'll figure that out soon. Clean, neat little camera, matches the rest of the mac products, tiny by gives a great picture.
Summary: I love Apple stuff so I was excited to buy this cam. It worked great for awhile but then just started shutting off and my Imac wouldnt even recognize it. Apple doesnt support this cam anymore and this problem of it just shutting down is well documented in Apple forums. Its a complete lemon. Now it just sits in its box in my closet. I bought a Logitech C-930 for less and its a much better webcam.
Summary: works beautifully ... very flexible. The one i bought didn't come with a stand. I thought I'd be able to make due with something from around the house ... as it turns out, it will probably be easier to just buy a stand.
Do not purchase this product if you are running higher than OS 10.3

Summary: This product will only run capably on a 32 bit processor. The newer Macs are 64 bit and use a Firewire 800 port. The firewire 400 to 800 adapters aren't reliable with this camera. I tried two different ones. One didn't work at all and the other only allowed for Audio not video on my Mac Mini running OS 10.8.5 (even after selecting the iSight for the Sound Input). Facetime crashed repeatedly and Audio was garbled. Move on to a newer webcam that uses a USB connection.
Summary: This camera is built like a tank. It has excellent quality video. My MacMini installed the driver and some nice software, and the little camera works flawlessly with Yahoo messenger. I bought the little camera brand new in non original packaging for $42.00 bucks shipped and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Apple got it right with this little USB Webcam. Just plug it in and start using it within a minute or two right out of the box.
Summary: I ordered this camera after I upgraded to the newest Mac Pro. I kept my old Apple display which did not have a built in iSight camera. I looked at many cameras, but was told that the only camera that was totally compatible with the Mac was the iSight. Of course they were no longer available in stores, so I turned to Amazon. Found one in perfect condition at a reasonable price. I've had it over a year and it still works great.
