Summary: This is a nice watch with everything my guy wanted. The only problem we found was setting the actual day and date was difficult and we thought the watch was broken at first because we couldn't manually change the date. Somehow it caught up to the correct day and now everything is in sync, but we just about sent it back.
Summary: A proper man requires a proper watch. Too bad proper men today are about as abundant as skinny women at an engineering school. But I digress..... This is a classic traditional watch with a round analog face, arabic numerals, a day & date calendar, and to my utter astonishment, a fully Indiglo-equipped backlight. Push in the only button, and the entire face lights up in a blue glow once thought reserved only for haughty Reagan-era digitals.
Summary: I got this watch for my dad and so far he likes it a lot. He says its a practical everyday watch. Not heavy on your hand. Once it's set you can forget about setting it and just wear it with anything.
Summary: I don't usually want to by anything online; however, I bought a timex wrist watch, I am happy about it. I have to say that I decided to use Amazon to see if they were reliable; I can tell they are good.
Summary: This is an inexpensive and very nice looking casual dress watch. It is cumbersome to set the day. This watch does not keep time. I had previously bought one of these at a local department store. It didn't keep time. I thought it was the battery and had it replaced. That didn't help. I couldn't find my receipt so I couldn't take it back. I ordered this one, thinking it might work. It did not either. I sent both of these back to the Timex Service Center.
Summary: This watch comes with a "dark chocalate" face with bronze coloured numerals, hands and bezal. The glass face gives off a little bit of glare that swings around but, nothing to serious to make it unreadable. In the few weeks of using it the day is now stuck on the "Thursday" in the date box and will not budge!.I'm a big fan of the mondain brand and will stick with them in future and from a local jeweller.
Summary: I have owned this watch for over a month and so far, I am satisfied with its performance and style. Contrary to the other reviewer's comments, I do not find this watch at all impractical. The face is easy to read under all lighting conditions. The Indiglo backlighting works very well, allowing the face to be read clearly in darkness. The watch's time keeping is acceptable, although I have reset it a couple of times, based on minor discrepancies of a second or two.
Summary: this watch is very well made and good looking. but it is hard to see the display clearly. the gold numbers and dark face reflects the light forcing you to tilt the watch at an angle away from the light if you want to see the numbers and the time clearly.
