Summary: Timex Men's T497469J Expedition Trail Series Chronograph with Alarm Black on Black Watch The only thing I can say negatively about the watch is the chrono features are a little hard to read for my 46-year-old eyes. However, this has been an excellent watch and has seen me through many of my outdoor adventures both personally and as a professional photojournalist.
Summary: *This is the second Timex watch I have owned since 1985. My original has been through numerous watch bands and batteries, and still works well. *I bought this watch specifically for the alarm function. Now that I have worn it for over a year I can confidently say the alarm is a little touchy. It takes a deft touch to make sure you have set the alarm the way you require.
Summary: I bought this watch thinking it was going to be a badass looking and accurate time piece. Well I was half right. As a sailor in the US Navy I rely on my watch to give me accurate and more importantly reliable time while at sea. Several times I found that my watch was either 30 minutes to 2 hours behind time. The alarm isn't reliable because you might bump the button back in and disable it. After having it for only a week the glass was already scratched up as well.
Summary: So, for those of you who lust after Luminox or one of their seemingly overpriced clones, caveat emptor. Greed eventually wormed its way into Toyota, so I guess there's no reason to believe that Luminox should be immune. Pretty much in disgust, I made the impulsive decision (based on cosmetics alone) to buy the Timex Men's Expedition Trail, and except for the cheap and not very comfortable band (the reason for 4 rather than 5 stars) it has been an extremely pleasant...
Summary: I have had this watch for six months now and it has held up to regular swimming (with chlorinated water) and has not lost any time, functionality or finish. I have had no problems with it whatsoever. Some of these reviewers must have either seriously abused the watch (like dropping it on its face)or got a lemon. The watch has a good weight, and a very comfortable strap.
Summary: I bought this watch after looking around at multifunctional watches and I decided if I want a watch, it should simply be a watch, and I settled on this one. I've had the watch for about 2 months now and it seems to be holding up great. I have been hiking and camping with it a few times and it has certainly come in handy for the areas that there is no cell phone service. This watch is a bit heavy at first, but after a few days you hardy notice the weight.
Summary: Great watch.. The features are easy to use and its a comfortable wear. the hands do get touched by the alarm setting but thats how it triggers, its not faulty. otherwise i use the alarm daily, its very strong (i put it through hell), and looks good for any occasion im involved in.
Summary: My boyfriend had this on his wish list. He had a few other more expensive ones as well, but they were out of my price range. When I gave him the present, I knew he would like it, but when he started to play with the features and found all these extras he hadn't expected, he truly lit up. He wears it quite often even though he used to change watches every few days....so I would say, If you think you might like this watch, apparently you'll love it once you get it!!
Summary: I wish this was the watch I wanted but i has just not worked out. The time is hard to read. The time resets itself because of delicate buttons. Too many gagets. The band is sweaty. The light doesn;t help to read time. It looked good and was rated well - but I regret this purchase.
