Easiest alarm watch ever
3 February 2012
Summary: Inexpensive, good (not great) looking and built to last. I needed a watch for work that had an alarm which could be easily set for hours and/or minutes. The Timex is the ONLY one with this function at a reasonable price that is not a "digital" watch. I have purchased 4 over the past 4 years. My husband wears his daily as do I (with different bands easily changed) and we have two in "reserve". Hope Timex keeps the Expedition as is for a long time.
Summary: I bought this watch because of a previous review where the reviewer loved the Easy Set Alarm's ease of use. Working in a lab, the short alarms are exactly what I was looking for, for both my short and long incubations. It allows me to walk away and do something else and still be in time for the next step. Definitely recommend it for anyone who needs a timer. It looks great as well. Great value for money.
Summary: I WISH the ladies version of this watch was still available..... it comes and goes over the years so I have to order the men's instead, which is fine. There is just no other watch that has this "easy set alarm" feature which I have become addicted to in the last several years. Please don't stop offering this style and the Ladies version also. It is the best and easiest watch I've ever had at work when I set my break and lunch times. Keep up the good work Timex !!!
Summary: Have no complains. Great looks, impressive system alarm, bezels function at perfection, high-quality leather band and very good illumination. I hadn't use watch in a long time and with this one I feel I have found the best fit for a very long time.
Summary: Analog alarm watches (mechanical or quartz) used to be fairly common, but are now somewhat rare. Timex makes a very nice quartz model that you set with a bezel and a two detent alarm knob. Either as a 12 hour alarm or a 60 minute timer. It's accurate, loud enough to use as a travel alarm(plus the dial lights up with the alarm tone), reasonably priced and durable.
Summary: I love this watch and show it to all my student nurses as it has a great alarm. Truly "set it and forget it". I use it for all the odd times medications. It is loud enough to use as an alarm clock on vacation. The indiglo button is bright enough to show the outline of furniture during power outages. I do have trouble w/ one of the functions (varies) not working after I change the battery but depend on the watch so much I bought two the last time to cover this problem.
Summary: I have owned this watch, and the previous model for several years. The first watch lasted 6 to 8 years (so long ago I can't remember the date) until the alarm quit. The alarm is the primary reason I purchased the watch, using it every day to wake up, for travel, and other notifications during the day. It's that easy to set. When the alarm quit, I purchased this, newer version of the old Timex about a year an a half ago.
Summary: As far as my husband is concerned, this watch is just about ideal. It's easy to set, easy to read, has an easy-to-use alarm system, is comfortable to wear, and is hard to damage... though he manages to *lose* it anyway, so this is about the fifth or sixth time I've bought this model for him over the last fifteen years. At this price, that's not much of a hardship.
